Runescape 2 is an improved version of runescape with 3D graphics. There is a new quest and an arena. Runescape 2 has entered Beta phase. Most doubted the creation of a massive multiplayer online role-playing game using Java. Jagex Limited proved their doubts wrong.

Runescape 2 is a completely updated and improved version of Runescape – a hugely successful online adventure game. In the game, players have monsters to kill, maps to explore and quests to complete. Vastly improved graphics and a complete new engine game are featured in runescape 2. Though the existing players have waited patiently for this Beta to launch, the results are beyond expectations.

 The launch of runescape 2 has been one big leap towards bringing fully 3D massively multi-player gaming to anyone possessing an internet connection. The game is browser playable without lengthy downloads or sophisticated installation processes.

Runescape 2 starts off in Tutorial Island. One needs to choose gender and color of a character. Customize the character’s clothes and looks. You can go through each NPC (non player computer) Task to learn how to play and what to do. When you are finished with Tutorial Island, you are given a set of runes (magic casting items), bow and arrows, a sword dagger, a shield, bread, etc.

The graphics for runescape 2 are in 3D resolution which is an excellent feature for Java games. Most computers can play it that makes it unique. Runescape 2 updates are on a constant basis. Usually, you would find an update every week. Updates help to fix bugs in the game. Sound and music have been added to this loop system and you can listen to it over and over again. Weapon sounds have been added. When you use a weapon (swing, magic or bow) accordingly sounds are produced.

To make money, you need to have skills. Skills can be acquired by performing different things. For example, for woodcutting you need a woodcutting axe while for mining you need a pickaxe. You need a woodcutting level to cut down trees. The same applies for mining. You need to gain these items from these activities to buy yourself new items, weapons, armor, etc.
