§       Graphics are 3D

§       Some players and critics are of the opinion that they are sub-standard at best.

§       However, with RuneScape, performance is a priority and it is therfore JAVA enabled, ensuring game-play speed.

§       It does not yet support Next-Gen graphics.

§       No download or CD is required to gain access to the game or playing online. A quick sign-up and run-application is all you need to get started. This game is clearly NOT ABOUT THE GRAPHICS! The quality and enjoyment lies elsewhere.

Character appearance

Customization and personalization of characters are both HUGE in RuneScape. Your options are wide open and choices many. There are lots of character models at your disposal.  

Some of the features of characterization:

§       All characters are to be human – no classes, races etc.

§       Choosing gender, hair styling, body type, and facial features, are all great ways to create a unique character.

§       Wearing or wielding different clothing, items, and weapons, one-of-a-kind characters are born and given manifestation to.

§       Small equipment changes are possible

§       Special equipment, or during certain events can also drastically alter the look, identity and appearance of a player or characater.

Character transformations or temporary changes are possible.

Turning into frogs, mushrooms, and small animals such as chickens and pigs can happen.

Changing into piles of stone or eggs, allowing them to avoid the effects of poison or desert heat.
