Runescape Map

Runescape is a hugely successful massive multiplayer online and role-playing adventure game. In the game, players have monsters to kill, maps to explore and quests to complete.

In runescape, clues will be dropped by certain monsters. Once you get a clue, you have to be able to decipher it to find out what the clue is. There may be different activities, (such as, search crates, talk to a person), you may need to do to solve the clue. One needs to solve a number of clues to obtain a reward.

Many a time one will only see a map of a place in runescape as a clue. Being a treasure hunter, one is required to locate the exact location of this place. The runescape maps will assist you in finding the location you are looking for. After that one has to dig at where the “X” is located. A runescape map is usually a rough sketch. A lot of knowledge of the game is required to dwell the exact location. There are different types of runescape maps: dungeon maps; land maps; mining maps; runescape classic maps; world maps.

Usually, the runescape maps are located at the top right hand corner of the main screen. The map shows one’s current location. It also consists of a compass. This feature is extremely helpful when trying to navigate one’s way around runescape.

On the runescape map, items of interest are shown in the following ways. Red dots indicate objects. Monsters and game-characters are represented by yellow dots. White dots are representative of other nearby players. People on your friends list are shown as green dots. To make navigating clearer, fixed location objects such as trees, fences and rocks have their own specific graphics.

The runescape map provides an overhead view of the immediate world around you and also helps you move around. To move your character, you don’t need to use the main screen. On the runescape map, click on the location you would like to travel to and a red flag will appear. The fastest route to the location of this flag can be taken by your character.
